Friday, AKA Last Day, 18 September 2009
Raj and I presented on time at 3 PM. I am quite impressed with Raj's squash and stretch, he had a good timing sense for his animation too. Followed by a good concept, it shows good potential, it is too bad he had too little time to work on it.
As for mine, there are some critiques that I kind of expected. I expected the first scene too be too long as expected. I planned to shorten it but the voice actress is no longer available! (busy) I tried editing the voice clip but since it is continuous, cutting it halfway or fading it in seems to make it abrupt.. So my only alternative is to make it not too boring by animating the screen.
There were major problems with my timing, I think my pause timing did not work too well. There were critiques about the judge clothing before like what Alan said few months ago. Same goes to the jury, they looked like a prisoner. I forgot Amanda critiqued about it before (though the only thing I remembered is to animate the jury and the audience, and I forgot about the simplest part.. how stupid of me).
I also expected the credits to get some critique there, perhaps putting my name numerous times is too not professional just like what my sister pointed out previously. But I did that to extend the credits timing so I can put in some animation in, I guess it backfired though.
However, Raj and I still managed to pass, it may not be the best grade we ever see but.. we had a lack of time in the first place. There were also no time to arrange a proper consultation beforehand nor the time to make the necessary changes. After all beside juggling 3 subjects, we still have some dedication to Gambit (Raj in fact is more busy than me as he is involved in one of the project for saturday).
As for me myself, I had to sacrifice my holiday rip. My family and cousins (its whole family trip), went to cruise for 3 days this saturday. However, I still need to go gambit as I postponed my gambit work on Thursday and Friday to this saturday as I am busy with school and presentation.. but enough of me complaining.
I guess with this I can at last sleep in peace after lacking sleep/not sleeping for these past few days.
Good night people, this is Andreas signing off... happy to work with you readers..

Thursday, 17 September 2009
I managed to finish the hardest scene (I think) just before I went to school to pass my work to Alan yeah! With that I finished all the scenes I got to do
All is left is the editing...darn it no time to rest yet... But for not I got to go to school
I can't upload the .gif the workfile is humongous
After suffering from 5 PM, i managed to do the necessary editing and burn the disc all done by 11.15 PM. so yea thats like 6 hours work no break (except when rendering)
There were some errors and small mistake I have yet to fix ... and perhaps I will leave it.. they did not disrupt the scenes anyway... I was a bit tired AKA lazy after re-rendering them for 7 times (due to some errors and all).. If only there were more times (or energy) I would have refine them by finding better SFX and BGM... but for now..oh well..
I am "a bit" proud of the work anyway considering the very little time we were given compared to the rest of the class...

in the morning I finished compiling my char design and adv. animation (yeah i did not sleep again)
After that, I did a scene for the NEWS TV screen, which is quite troublesome as it is compilation of some simple scenes. It took me 2 hours to actually finish that, how troublesome...
At 10 Pm I finished editing and compiling all the other scenes, but have yet to put in the sfx and the first scene of the reporter.
My sister needed to use the computer urgently so I guess I have to continue later on midnight or during early morning.

day 25, 15 september 2009
this is because I went to school to consult with Alan about normal mapping/displacement mapping/bump mapping from ZBrush to Maya.
So yea I dedicated 70% of the time today to wrap up everything about character design subject. In fact, I am still in the midst of rendering from Maya when I am writing this blog at the moment.

day 24, 14 September 2009

I woke up at 12, managed to continue and finish the scene in 3 hours 30 minutes, It is quite complicated as I have to animate slightly all the characters in the scene
the .gif seems corrupted as only the judge appears to be animated but oh well.. its .gif can't expect too much
I'll take a short break (I think i deserve it) and continue on my credits scene tonight
at evening, I did my second last scene, which is actually an incomplete scene from last time, it only cost me around 1 hour to add in some extra stuffs.
I shall go dinner now and then continue on my credits scene (which I kept on postponing)
It took me around 2-3 hours to finish the credits, it is simple but ya..
I am now left with the hardest scene but woohoo almost there... lazy to compile em though...

day 23, 13 september 2009
I wanted to upload the set design preview (no human yet except bum and judge) but blogspot is failing me again.
I also had to attend Gambit training,I wish i can skip that.. agrh
can't seem to finish today, 7 AM now, continue later after I woke up
Saturday, September 12, 2009
day 22, 12 september 2009

As usual I finished a scene as soon I woke up, it is the fly scene this time, it only cost around 2 hours to do this scene. I will do the lip sync scene now..
and yea I am uploading those scenes I was unable to yesterday
on second thought, one of the scene file is too large.. and my internet java is failing me
at evening I finished a more simple lip sync scene of Bum
I also used another 15 minutes to finish another simple scene of the bottle base scene
added bg to another simple scene I done previously in 10 minutes
after my dinner (10:16 PM now) I shall do more lip sync scene, praying to finish all the "simple" scenes by latest tomorrow
Actually I haven't had my dinner but decided to spend another hour and a half to do a lip sync scene first... simply can't eat in peace if I have not do my quota for the day... so I manage to finish it at around 12:20 AM
I guess this is the time I will be able to eat my dinner in peace.
I shall perhaps do the credit tomorrow or the judge scene talking from different perspective.
Friday, September 11, 2009
day 21, 11 September 2009
it is quite dreadful and tiring as I have to draw the lawyer and the set design for tt scene
I have finished the set design after doing for around 3 hours
I will work on it more after dinner
it was nightmare, I finished the scene at 4:11 am at night
horrendous..
worse still the .gif is 10mb, thus can't be uploaded into blogspot..
and my blogspot is failing me again.. can't seem to upload pictures again.. what a hassle..
tomorrow I shall try to do more simple scenes like lipsyn and putting BG on the flies scene
Thursday, September 10, 2009
day 20, 10 September 2009

I managed to finish another complicated scened
It took me around 6-7 hours, it is harder than I thought due to many subtle objects which need to be animated too..
I guess I will take a break at the moment, I am quite scared I can't finish this project in time though...
I will try to do some more scenes later again
Tuesday, September 8, 2009
day 19, 9 september 2009

blog spot seems fixed lemme post all the works I have done so far in .gif format
I have also done another scene as soon as I woke up, I guess that ends all the scenes with the judge in it.
On the noon, I tried adding some "special effects" to one of the judge scene and the hammer scene, I wonder if it works.. any comment? anyone?
I will work on more scenes tonight
at night, I managed to put in another simple scene, its quite simple but here goes
I shall do the scene of Bum taking out bottles tomorrow and perhaps the dreaded liquid asset pouring scene
Monday, September 7, 2009
day 18, 8 September 2009
My blogspot screwed again... seems to happen everytime Windows got Update, damn... due to this.. I cant attach the .gif
at 10:55 AM I finished another simple scene and another moderate diff. lip sync scenes
so thats 3 scenes done for today
I will try to upload again later
or Thursday when I will go to school
day 17, 7th september 2009

Started doing on the last scene (where people escaped from the courtroom)
It is much harder than I thought as ecen though it appears simple some objects need to be aniamted separately.. at the moment I am still doing it but I will post the .jpeg of what I produced so far.
I still have to do the lawyer tumbling over, I bet that one will be quite complicated... the easiest way is just to tween it.. but that will ruin the liquid.. oh well
added a .gif for preview
at 2:40 am, finally done with the accursed scene... I hope so.. I would like to add some more touches but I am scared with the lack of time.. duh..
Saturday, September 5, 2009
Day 16, 5 September 2009
I gathered and arranged all my previous P3 files and I have to recap which scene is which and which scene is done... (I can't refer to the animatics as some scenes that already done are not inside yet or worse still some inside aniamtics are placeholder)
For the time being I do something simple and added 3 shadows in my hammer scene (shadow on table, 2 shadow on wall)
I tried adding shadow but decided to scrap that.. too crowded
I wanted to post my pictures however i Cant seem to attach it... tried on lappy and PC.. doesnt work....maybe I will try again at sch when I have more works to post

Day 15, Wednesday 20 May 2008

due to someone's idea I will make the fat woman loss her weight.. and of course.. I will try my best to make it look sick
Monday, May 18, 2009
Day 14, Tuesday 19 May 2008
Day 13, Tuesday 14 May 2008

manage to edit 2 of my scenes, the audience is half finished, (i may not animate tt fatty woman, i think her blinking is enough, maybe the gas pass just behind her, but well if there are time ill animate her too)
i think there are something wrong with the animated gif, most probably is due to my slow inet speed at home... dang it..

Day 12, Thursday 14 May 2008

There are 2 presentations today, thats is why there are lack of updates... anyway I manage to rush my animatics ..
there were few problems present like things do not go as smooth as I predicted, decoding error, lack of memory, lack of focus and motivation, viruses swarming my comp, anti virus going haywire, MSN can't login, bad weather.. and so on..
there are nothing much i can say today, however I use most copyrighted songs from the same source I base some of my courtroom from... for some of you that already know... yeah it is Phoenix Wright.. I guess i gotta credit em later e..
I used Kezia voice for reporter and Raj voice for Bum. Me, myself is the judge. However, there are chances I have to rerecord those, i think lack of emotion for some. Though Kezia one is already fine.. Anyway.. sicne its animatics i skip lip sync and havent fully alter some angles but oh well it is jus for the comical timing.. I hope it works for later presentation (in fact I hope I got to present, I do not want to waste my 2 days w/o slping for nth... bah...) Thanks a lot Kezia and Raj, even though I may not be using urs for final, rest assured, you both will still be fully credited, both of you can contact me anytime you wanna get a free hug :D .
I think I should include some things I produce though here it is..
I love to degrade myself thus the Retarndreas.. (subject to change in the future)
If the title is too *cough* disgusting*cough* it is also subject to change...
I tried layering in AE instead in MAYA however I have not put the background yet.
One word of warning : most scenes uploaded are INCOMPLETE, so pardon me for the lack of quality, and it is in animated .GIF thus the pixels and colour palette error
I could not upload the AE layering files here, it is too lag to open and... I am also lazy to put it here actually... you can always ask me if you wanna see it.... though it is not worth showing..
click on the image if u wanna see the animation.. however the butt is not working.. I tried uploading few times but does not work...
Your most beloved **tard,
Andreas Mas'Oen (0705922c)
FEEDBACK:
1.) my typography sucks... aww......... Alan commented the A is nice but I gotta fix the rest, dang I have to think or design it again
2.) Same goes for the rainbow fonts, some of the letters are more glaring than the rest, same goes for PRESENT, i think I gotta outline em
3.) Alan said that adding expression shots of people puking or feeling smelly will make it better
4.) There were few comments that the starting is a bit long, I agreed, that is why I planned to animate the screen, where there will be different sort of animation flashing there
5.) The woman color palette is too daturated.. gotta fix em again.. aaah...argh..
6.) I still got to add background for the start. I have very little time to add it thus I abandon it at the moment. However, some people think that the door is floating. I really have to add it ASAP...
7.) There were some problems with voice, some said the judge, however Alan said reporter one is more problematic. Maybe there were too many lines.. Maybe I should cut some or put those texts like in those news
8.) the ABM icon is too distracting, maybe I should add the lag time for the animation of that ABM. Hmm after adding the details for the 1st scene will it be less distracting? or there will be too many things happening in the same time.
9.) ah.. I almost forgot that I have to change the door design, it looks like a wardrobe door now..

Sunday, 10 May 2009

recently i focus on animation 2, pardon me..
honestly I do not do much on my P3 yet, I only added few simple thumbnails for my storyboard (v simple and I think no worth scannign over)
and I tried to sketch out the BG for my other angle, I will try to vector it out tmr and if possible color it on the same day. I will try to use maya on Tuesday of nothing goes wrong to create the other bg (the door, I think is necessary as thats where the title shall appear)
the following attachment is the bg I sketch, i think the perspective a bit funny but wad do u guys think? it is a quick sketch under 15 mins so pardon the blurry lines (especially all the vertical lines or horisontal lines, i do not use ruler for em [see the small door/gate and the place where Dimwit stands]), i promise it will be better once its vectorised....hopefully.. wait.. probably...70% chance..or less

Day 10, Wednesday 06 May 2009
anyway, we have group discussion today about Gantt Chart. We started by discussing the things in our production. We included things like character design, storyboard, animatics, background design, improved storyboard/animatics, voice recording, audio, and etc.
However Alan said we should prioritise in breaking down our scenes. After that, we should prioritise doing the most simple scene first. This is to boost our confidence and in the same time to tell ourself how the whole style shall be like throughout.
We should then proceed with the most difficult scene, this is as soon as we have the feel from our most simple scene, we should let the hardest part of ours settled.
The third one we should do is the last scene as it gives the most lasting impression, perhaps since it is the last scene people get to watch.
Alan said as we are not showing to client, sometime changes can be made to our animation (even though it may be different from storyboard). The purpose is to work smart and still able to convey the same message even though the scene is different. This will also allow us to save time.
I guess that is all today, long discussion for 2 hours. Ah, just a reminder next Monday will be another movie session I think. :p hmm Twelve Monkey? i watch that when I was a kid I think. The first one that make me realise not all movie are happy ending, and thus loathe it when I was a kid.

day 08, Thursday 30 April 2009

well.. i only attended 1 hour of the clas today due to some reason, everyone had quite an interesting idea. I am quite shocked tat Alan shared the same thought about Raj's idea (that knife scene). When I was little i am quite scared of all scenes that had sharp object in it, ALan pointed it out before me so oh well. his storyboard was quite clear which is good too. Laurie story has so much potential but it was quite a letdown that she do not let the tension build up more. I could not see wgat is going on on Greg's storyboard so there is not much I can comment on. I also like TY's storyboard it was quite cute, though the ending is *cough* quite tragic.. Jarrold one is also quite funyn though personnally I think if the baby pop up during the sit-up it will be funnier ;p or ... you know let the woman go to toilet or something and the baby just pop out during the "you_know_what" in toilet. Honey one is quite cute, however, i prefer if the owner expression could bes een in ending.
That is all I see from thursday presentation.. good job people..
during the weekend i did a bit of character (though i do more anim2), to make him look more idiotic and helpless
the stain is added to make him look dirty, while the torn is to make him look like misfortune? say bitten by dog or sth... the button and tie is to show him being not neat, the tight suit and clothes is to show how hopeless he is.. the extra strand hair... jus to show that he is a 'not neat guy' trying to be 'neat'

day 07, Wednesday 29 April 2009
Luckily I was able to present today.. and thus my work is not wasted. I gained a lot valuable comments for the character designing. (the suit shd be more sloppy, too little and all). I am also rather demoralised tha everyone's storyboard look so much better than mine but oh well.. just had to polish on the drawing more...
Anyway.. can I stop here today? I promise to get my new character design updated in the near future.. but lemme rest for now..ZzzZzzZzz

Day 06, Tuesday 28 April 2009

To be honest, it is 5:20 AM in the morning on Wednesday, I had not totally finish my presentation PPT, however I still tried my best to finish this blog and put my updates as much as I can...(applause for me please..)
Today, I was the first from my group to consult, Alan commented that my story is too long and it will be more effective if I end it at the liquid asset part. Alan also said that I used too many centered shots in my framing and it will be good if i put more connection between the audience and the characters. Thus, I fixed my storyboard a bit and added a overshoulder shot of the judge facing the audience and Bin Wit Bum. Alan also said try to avoid newspaper (try to avoid making the audience read to understand). I thought of making TV news instead of newspaper, however, I have already scanned all in and actually quite too tired to think of TV news angle alternative. However, I imagine it will be sort of TV news in The Simpsons.
As for learning contract, Alan said that my Aims are more like outcomes, thus I have to fix it to make it more 'closed' and more 'personal'. Thus I changed my aims to practice my comic timing and character design and also to expand my portfolio.
Look... I am sorry if the blog for today is super short, I am rather tired,.. fine I will elaborate on what I do today, as a special service as I love you guys for still wanting to read my blog :D . As soon as I reached home at around 7:30, I started to sketch on my characters. As soon as my sister finish using my computer (yeah she is being inconsiderate and play games on my PC while I am actually quite busy); I started on the BG design, it was not easy as I had to fully color it. I asked Raj for opinion, he was very nice to give me constructive comments on the props and all (thanks Raj, you're a good friend)!!.
After that, I scanned the Bin Wit Bum and vectorised him totally (with color and all with all that 4 angles). As soon I finish, I started editing my storyboard. As the framing is jumbled all over, I had to edit the sequencing in PPT, it is actually rather time consuming and... irritating... Then, I still had to do on my judge... vectorised and all... color... yucks...
Alas, I forgot about moodboard, It was getting late, thus I just used the same BG design I did, duplicates the judge 4 times, do necessary editing and voila... 4 makeshift jury... for lawyer.. I duplicate Bum x2 , edit... and Alakazam.... We have 2 lawyers... Sure I will fix them in the future but not now when I am rushed for times..
There you have it my activity for the day.. I think I will jus attach my works... and hope I do not fall asleep during uploading... wish me luck guys...

Day 05, Monday 27 April 2009
Thursday, April 23, 2009
Day 04, Friday 24 April 2009
Alan reminded us that next week presentation for interim will be at Wednesday/Thursday. There will be consulattion period at Monday/Tuesday. My group will be on Tuesday. So I guess I do not have to turn up early on Monday. I just have to remember to finish my learning contract by Monday night at least..
I did manage to comment a bit on Nafisah and Rachael's blog, though most of the other comments are done through online discussion. Rachael also commented my animation will be quite long.. and frankly speaking I am afraid of that too..
On Weekend I did a bit of character design but seriously I have no idea what to aim for. I also did a bit of story planning and a BIT of storyboard (seriously no mood). I have yet to do my learning contract, maybe tonight..

Day 03 - Thursday, 23 April 2009
We are required to post the answers to the questions on the blog, so here goes:
ANSWER THE FOLLOWING:
story based on : http://www.xnewz.com/news/us/assetsman.htm
1. Who are you telling the story for (primary audience)?
· Teenager and young adults (13-21)
· They would usually watch cartoon like Family Guy and The Simpsons
2. What reaction do you want?
· Laughter
· Slight disgust
3. Is the narrative omniscient (all seeing) or restrictive (viewed from a single perspective)?(If the narrative is restrictive, whose viewpoint are you using?)
· omniscient
4. List the important events of the story.
· Bin Wit Bum (Dim Wit Dumb) had to attend a major court hearing due to extreme debts.
· He presented a wrong ‘liquid assets’ when the court asked him to present an evidence.
· The court decided to cancel the hearing and overturn the evidence.
· He misunderstood and overturn the bottle of ‘liquid assets’ and emptied its contents all over the lawyer desk in the process.
· One month later, the proceedings restarted.
· The court asked why he had faulty hearing and there are holes in front of his house.
· He blame it on his Nintendo Wii Gun
· The judge asked whether he is brandishing any real gun.
· Dim Wit Dumb responded by pulling out a real gun and started open firing in the courtroom.
· A pigeon was harmed during the session.
· Dim Wit Dumb was sentenced to prison.
· However, he had successfully infected his inmates thinking process.
· The inmates ended up urinating on the courtroom on the day of his release.
5. Which aspects of the setting of the story are important (time of day… location… period of history…) and how do you intend to establish these important elements?
· Location: Courtroom
· Period of history: October 2007, November 2007.
· The period will be established by having the date displayed in a typewritten style every time the courtroom session is starting.
· There will also be a short scene at the beginning with newspaper declaring that Dim Wit Dumb is bankrupt and had to attend court session
6. What traits of the characters in your story are important and how do you intend to establish these traits?
· Mentally disturbed ( can be inferred from his face and throughout the story)
· Portrayed as a rich figure as he appeared in the news at the beginning of the story. He also had 2 “Nintendo Wii Gun”.
7. In what order are the important events (step 4 above) covered? Is it a strictly linear sequence of events in time, or does the story contain any flashbacks or other interruptions to the sequence of events?
· Story to be told linearly, without flashbacks
8. How does the story flow, does the pace change? Does it contain a surprise? Consider your answers to 1 and 2 above when making your response.
· Pace of the story does not change
· Element of surprise
9. How will you use sound to help all your responses to 5-8 above?
· Crowd talking could be heard as the court started to show presence of witnesses. Crowd uproar could be heard when he overturn the liquid assets and shooting of the gun to show the court is in chaos (even though the crowd will not be shown).
· The inmate will not be shown urinating however a black screen will appear the moment he took off his pants. Water sfx ,“slight” cursing, and dialogue will be used. This is because the whole scene may be rated RA if it is fully shown.
10. Does your story need dialog? (write out the dialog)
· Dialogue will be used throughout.
· Judge: “Mr Dim Wit Dumb, I mean Bin Wit Bum, would you please declare your liquid assets?”
· Judge: “What is this?”
· Dim Wit Dumb: “Well, you wanted liquid assets, right? I thought you were referring to the liquid that sometimes comes out of my ass.”
· Judge: “ The court will overturn the evidence”
· Dim Wit Dumb : “ urmmm… overturn..? okay…”
· Judge : “Silence in the courtroom! Silence!! Silence!!!”
· Judge : “Mr. Dumb, would you please explain the holes in front of your house?”
· Dim Wit Dumb: “Why, it’s because of this Nintendo Wii gun.”
· Judge: “Are you by chance brandishing any real weapons?”
· Dim Wit Dumb: “Nah… I ain’t got nothing else besides this here toy gun. You see, it just shoots blanks”
· Dim Wit Dumb: “See you matey”
· Inmate : “thanks man, I learned a lot of valuable lessons from you man. You have been a great inmate”
· Judge: “Holy Shit”
· Random A : “Jesus C…”
· Judge: “Can someone please stop him from urinating inside the court room?!!”
after finishing it, i sent the email address to Alan, I guess that is all for the day. I still have to think about the learning contract.
Andreas Mas'Oen (0705922c)
Day 02 - Wednesday, 22 April 2009
As promised I will tell my story today. My first story is about an old man that spend his whole Christmas Eve stuck in his septic tank as he slipped when he tried to reach the clog. His head was stuck and his feet kicking the air.
My second story was about a man that marries a dog (it was apparently the most popular as around 4 people choose the same story). The story was about a man that liked to abuse dogs when he was a kid (by throwing stones or hang them on the tree). However he had a bad luck throughout his life, one day he visited a shaman. The shaman said that the only way to overcome the bad luck and make amend to his past mistakes is to marry a dog. The man went on with the wedding.
My third story was about a bogus waiter, he approached two unsuspecting couple in two different restaurant within 2 hours and asked them whether they need anything else before paying. In the end the swindler ran off with 180+ bucks.
My fourth story (which was probably the longest and also my favourite), was about a mentally disordered man. He was asked to present his liquid assets as evidence and he ended up submitting bottle fulls of liquid from his ass. The court overturn the evidence and he misunderstood it and overturn the bottle which splattered the content of the bottle all over the lawyer desk. The court also questioned why he had faulty earring and his house is full of holes. He replied it was because of his Doggon Wii Gun (which the judge corrected it was Nintendo Wii Gun later on). He said it was only a toy gun then he took the gun out and started firing in the courtroom. Fortunately only a pigeon was harmed during the incident. The man was put into prison, however his mental disability appeared to have infected his inmates. On the day of that inmate’s release, he took off his own pants and started to pee all over the courtroom.
Today, is another group work (same members as yesterday). We were supposed to share our stories within our own group. I liked Shermin’s story about the kangaroo (kangaroo which was raised by a family and saved the man of the family when he was struck by an accident). After that the class proceeded with a story sharing session within the whole class. However, there is a catch. We were supposed to tell the story of our teammates, not our own.
After presentation, Alan asked us to fill the questions and do journal for Project 3. He said he will explain about learning contract in the near future.
Andreas Mas'Oen (0705922c)
Day 01 - Tuesday, 21 April 2009
Holiday is just over and we had to start our Major Project 3 right away (frankly speaking, I am still in holiday mood and were not quite happy with it).
Anyway, as soon as the class started we were separated into random group. My group members are Gregory, Shermin, Kala, Laurie and me. We voted Gregory as the leader. After that each group were given a random ‘weird’ story. We were supposed to build the story around that script. Alan gave us a paper with 10 questions as guidelines for us.
Our group got the story with the title “IT IS NOW…” The story was about a botanist trying to find a rare orchid and spend years on the research. In the end he found the orchid squashed under his camp tent for years.
Initially, we wanted to make few changes here and there with the story. We wanted to add few twists like the grandson was the one that found the flower and eat it in front of the botanist. However, Alan warned us that we should not deviate too far from the main story. We decided to go with the original story and typed it out in PowerPoint slides.
We used few ideas to show the research has been going on for years. The huts around the campsite (yeah, we choose a campsite for our location) will develop as high rise buildings as story goes. The botanist will also be shown to be aging as the story develops. We will show that the botanist have great obsession with the orchid by having him decorate his house (the first scene will be at his house, researching) with orchid wallpaper. Most of his belongings (clothes and all) will also have orchid motifs on it. Also, He will always look at orchid photo before he sleeps. To show people will be giving up, the number of tents in the campsite will be diminishing as the story proceeds.
We will use sfx to emphasise on exaggeration. For example, a sigh will be used when the botanist finally gave up, holy heavenly gospel sfx can be heard when the orchid is finally discovered and slows down as the orchid wilts. After that a loud yelling of ‘Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo’ could be heard. We planned to show gramophone at the beginning with classical music and ipod with more upbeat songs near the end to show different timeline. However, Alan said that old man will not really listen to more upbeat techno songs.
Our homework for the day was to find 3-4 weird but true stories and told it to class tomorrow. Alan gave us the project brief along with a website about weird news to help us.
After reaching home, I started researching right away. After hours of research I found around 4 stories I like (I will elaborate this more in tomorrow blog, promise).
